Every pebble can start an avalanche

It started with frustration at the system and the realization that we need a new system — one that’s not rigged against us by design.

I spent a while looking for something I can do — ‘can’ being the imperative word, as I wasn’t ready to sacrifice my life for the cause.

I started with a list in a spreadsheet, which grew into a list on a website.

Seeding the Mycelium opened the door to meeting Rene Huey-Lipton and becoming an active participant in building The Women’s Economy — because building the Matriarchy is a financial revolution.

If you missed the call this week, I want to share its summary and interim conclusions with you — quoting from Rene Huey-Lipton’s email.

We're just getting started, and we're moving. Here's what's in your inbox right now:

The Manifesto — the vision and the math behind the Women's Economy

The Meeting Deck — everything we walked through on the call

The Lists — our living, growing directory of women-led businesses and connections we're building together

Read them. Share them. Let them radicalize you a little.

Now, here's where we need you.

We need a designer — as outlined in the deck, we're creating WE Badges — for women-led businesses to display with pride and for members of this community to wear as a signal to each other. If you design, or know someone who does, we want to hear from you.

And for all of us — here's your two-part challenge for the next few weeks:

THE SPEND CHALLENGE

How many women-owned businesses can you actively utilize in your community? Buy from them. Hire them. Refer them. Track it. Then come back and tell us what you found.

THE MYCELIUM CHALLENGE

How many women can you introduce to this idea — and add to the Mycelium List? One conversation, one share, one introduction at a time. The network grows the way mycelium does: quietly, underground, until suddenly it's everywhere.  Here is the link to the List:  https://www.themycelium.org/

This is how we build. Not with one grand gesture, but with thousands of small, intentional ones — made by women who've decided to stop waiting and start building.

You're already one of them.

With love and momentum,

Rene Huey-Lipton

A Blueprint for WE

The next step for me is building a website for Women’s Economy — a central place to share our knowledge and support each other.

If you have links to list, communities, and other useful resources you want to see included, hit reply and send them over.
